Devil Key, (凶匙, Xiōng shi) was a sacred weapon of the Lasombra Clan, it resembles a key.

the Devil Key in its original form
It was created to help gain access to the Demon King Set and steal his power from the Forbidden Sphere.
For a long time, it was held by the father of Fan Le Lao.
It was eventually stolen by the Human Hunters Organisation after they ambushed the Clan Leader, killing him in the process and stealing them.[1]
The Splitting of the Key[]
The Devil Key in its split form
The organisation split it into two keys creating the Keys of Forbidden Sphere (禁域之匙, Jìn yù zhī shi). [1] The seals were then assigned to be given to two girls cloned from the DNA of Isis who received Mei Yue Yin, which eventually became Zhao Yan and Yue Jian, after Professor Nan Gong interfered, preventing Xi Yan from receiving Mei Yue Yin. They each were meant to hold one each.
The seals were originally given to Zhao Yan after it was suspected by Yi Shen that something was up with her sister Xi Yan when her abilities began to lag behind.[2] She in turned passed it to Yue Jian[3] and eventually into the hands of Ge Chen.[1]
The obtainment of them by Fan Le Lao was part of his ultimate goal to gain access to Set's powers.
The Keys were eventually used for their intended purpose by both Sabbat and Camarilla after the two alliances set aside their differences and called a truce momentarily.[4]
The Key reappears[]
The fate of the Devil Key after the opening of the Forbidden Sphere was unknown for a long time and was among the Sacred Weapon lost in Forbidden Spheres battle.
Some time after being captured by Set, Yue Jian awakens to find at least on half in her possession.[5]
Trivia[]
- Out of all of the Sacred Weapons, the Devil Key seems to be the most limited in usefulness. So far it's sole revealed power was to open the Forbidden Sphere. Wether it has other abilities other than to be splitted into the Keys of the Forbidden Sphere is unknown.
